Hey you all...
Tommorow morning we are off at 7am to school Happ's. With the weather improving and courses opening I, as always, am happy to go schooling wherever, whenever. Just let me know.
Wednesday I am coaching at a track meet so no 5:30. Track season will be over in a couple of weeks so we will get back to our regular schedule soon. Friday afternoon I am off with runners to the Twilight meet at U of O. Saturday's 9am is moved back to noon as I am in the Lake Run at 9am. Otherwise usual.
Congratulations to Claire (one of Nancy's riders) who last Thursday broke the long standing (1981) long jump record (14'4") at LO Junior High by jumping 15'5"...good enough in the nation this year for seventh graders for second place...IN THE NATION! She will do better before the season is out.
We have new cross-country fences to build so if you or a friend are handy with saws, paint, etc., let me know. Gotta get ready for our first event plus we will have nice fences to school.
Kevin Freeman (two time Olympic Medalist) will be holding a clinic at the Hunt Club sometime in May...details between him and me to be worked out. He is donating his proceeds to the Hunt Club and the Portland Mounted Police. More details to follow.
